Payroll and Income Tax Audit Compliant

In light of the national payroll and income tax audit blitz on GP and healthcare practices, we hope this new announcement will be the beginning of innovative ways to help you run your practice more simply and cost-effectively.

New recruitment, retention and succession planning opportunities

Without the fear of a tax audit, this will help you recruit and retain practitioners.

Under the new deemed employee income tax rules, both you and your tenant doctors risk losing their practitioners ABN’s GST refunds, attracting expensive audits and severe tax penalties. For more information, click HERE on how to become compliant with the new payroll and income tax rules.

These new features will benefit you and your practitioners should you let us know that you wish to upgrade by booking a meeting below with us.

           1. Xero integration

For practices that upgrade to DPC v3,  DPC now automatically integrates with Xero to post automatic journal entries and calculate pay using unlimited multiple service fees, as well as instantly incorporating the latest legally binding digitally encrypted tax and tenant doctors provider service agreements in DPC and the practice’s Xero and or Tenant Doctor or Provider Xero programs. The service agreement feature integration is not available in DPC v.2.

2.   Practice Billing Integration

This feature integrates software practice management programs like Best Practice, Zedmed, Medical Director, Hot Docs, and other programs,  available in DPC v2. If your practice management billing system is not listed we can customise for a small fee, a solution for you.

3.  Tenant DoctorTM Certification (tax compliant e-service agreements)

Attract and retain more practitioners by protecting everyone from tax audits and litigation. To our knowledge, in an Australian first, DPC provides a compelling new competitive edge by becoming Tenant DoctorTM certified.

In recent years, DPC, Health and Life recommended structures, and practice arrangements have successfully defended tenant doctors/providers and practices from escalating tax audits and disputes.

The latest version addresses recent Proda registration concerns raised by the RACGP/AMA in relation to ABN’s and provider ABN-linked bank accounts.

For more information, see our latest video and article on escalating tax and statutory audits.

This licences you to use our blue tick logo below that your organisation is deemed a low ATO contractor tax risk in accordance with the December 2022 ATO Ruling  PCG 2022/D5, Classifying workers as employees or independent contractors

The new E-service agreement feature is the most cost-effective way to have an independently legally prepared service agreement produced by Lukasz Wyszynski from Hamilton Bailey lawyers. It complies with the latest tax rules that have been recently payroll tax-tested, service agreements.

Most importantly, at Health and Life, to give you additional peace of mind we are in the process of applying for a Federal and State income and payroll tax ruling. We cannot guarantee we will secure this approval, however, we will let you know if it succeeds.

Regardless you can rest assured that you will be one of the most compliant practices in Australia.

Only DPC v3 clients are eligible to become Tenant DoctorTM   certified for payroll or income tax compliant.
