If you want to feel successful in life, you need to take ownership and make it happen – no one will do this for you. For many people the measure of success is money and acceptance.

To achieve success you need to invest in yourself. Commonly people say they can’t afford to, but we would rather ask whether you want 100% of nothing or 80% of something. If you choose the latter it is critical you invest in yourself. You have to take a risk and invest in yourself to make it.

Alternatively modify your lifestyle expectations and don’t be too hard on yourself. Remember it is about eating well and sleeping well.

I enter my third decade as a national Chartered Accountant for Medical and Healthcare practices in Australia. I am a former 10-year Australian General Practice Accreditation surveyor.
