How great leaders inspire action!

Everyone wants to be happy in life. We all seek emotional and financial security to achieve this feeling. To be successful means to be happy and self-fulfilled.

Contrary to popular belief people don’t do things to make a profit or just to earn a wage. This is a result, and not why you do what you do. Successful people are passionate and seek fulfilment form their work.

The why question is important, because no matter what challenges or obstacles you may face, your passion fuels your commitment and persistence to achieve your goal. This is the single most important ingredient to any kind of success.

Emotional security is an attitude and not just a thought and cannot be achieved without a healthy lifestyle.

Financial security is paramount in everyone’s mind, that needs to be respected. Financial security gives you the freedom to meet your own daily living needs. Most importantly, it helps you secure your ultimate purpose in life that makes you feel happy and successful.

Plan for a marathon and not a 100m race. All successful people share one thing in common. They all had a simple plan from day one, on how they were going to get there. People don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan.

Are you spinning wheels?

You would never get into a taxi without knowing where you are going? It would be waste of everyone’s time, petrol and money. So why do you do this to yourself and the important people in your life? To stop spinning wheels and stressing everyone out – set a clear destination and then a road map. Work out how you are going to get there e.g walk, swim, or drive, and who is coming along for the ride and at what cost – is it feasible? It is that simple, and can be done on the back on a napkin with the right information. Do you have plan?

Time Poor

This is a myth! Nobody is that busy that they do not have time to plan? Planning is all about setting a priority. What you are really telling yourself, this is not a priority because you do not see an immediate benefit. You don’t know what you don’t know. For example, if you see one patient for $110 hour, that same time could be spent on considering and idea, on recruiting a provider who can make $40,000 p.a. so you play golf every Monday for a life time. This keeps your work loads sustainable and makes you less penny wise pound foolish. Time is money, so spend it wisely.

So spend time working on your practice/yourself and not simply just in it. Work smarter not harder by improving your time management skills.

Planning is the key to freeing up your time. It helps you focus on the things you enjoy doing most. You will be surprised a lot of it is wasted on the wrong thing that other people or solution that can do it for you faster, cheaper and better than you. Simply booking into your MS Outlook Diary will increase your and the people around you productivity by tenfold. if it can’t be measured it can’t be managed.
